Welcome to the registration page for the 2021 Albemarle Girls Lacrosse League!
****Please note that some people are having trouble adding a player to the registration if they don’t already have a youth lacrosse membership. If this happens to you, please go to uslacrosse.org and purchase a youth lacrosse membership and then go back and register using that information. It is the same cost but just may take two transactions. US Lacrosse is working on this issue and think it could be browser related but just isn’t sure yet. Thank you for your patience. If you continue to have problems – please email focusagll@gmail.com and we will try to help. Thanks!***
Focus AGLL is excited to offer a reformatted recreational experience in Charlottesville for all 5-8th grade girls. Like the AGFHL, the AGLL will now have coach education, a standard curriculum, updated organization and communication and a flexible game schedule all to allow for maximum improvement and fun for everyone! These games will be mixed across regions to build community, to allow the girls to learn from different coaches, and to encourage competitive games.
We recognize that rec play has a variety of skill levels represented, and we will strive to challenge each player to grow not only lacrosse wise but as a person as well. We can’t wait to grow lacrosse in Charlottesville and hope you will join us!
The league will run starting on Sunday, March 14th with a kick off clinic, through early May, with practices held on weekday evenings or right after school and games held on Sunday afternoons during the 2-5pm timeframe. No games will be held on April 4th and there will not be practice the week of April 4th.
Spring 2021 note: Sundays may start off in March looking more like a clinic format with rotating stations with different challenges and smaller sided games. We hope to move to regular games by April. The officiating situation and Covid remain uncertain so we appreciate your understanding and flexibility during this time. Our number one goal, in addition to safety, is for your daughter to enjoy her experience playing lacrosse this Spring.
Registration for the Spring Season is $200. All players, coaches, and officials are required to have a US Lacrosse Membership. Youth memberships are $30 and will be added to your cart when you register if you do not have an active membership through May 9, 2021.
Registration Closes on March 7th.
5th and 6th graders will practice at Murray Elementary School on Thursdays, 6-7:15pm, and on Fridays, 4:30-6pm.
7th and 8th graders will practice at Jouett Middle School on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-7:30pm.

Focus AGLL began in the Spring of 2020 after taking over from the Perriellos who began the league in 1980. The mission remains the same: to give Middle School aged girls of all abilities the opportunity to learn and love the game of lacrosse.
Focus provides quality coaching and instruction to players of all ages and stages, offering programs for players from U8 to U19 in both field hcokey and lacrosse. Whether you are dipping your toe into field hockey or lacrosse for the first time, a player who wants to upskill to get better for your school team or an ambitious athlete with designs on playing in college, Focus can help you meet your goals.
We have a developmental ethos with a strong emphasis on character development through sport, helping athletes become confident, capable young women. Focus espouses a modern, games-based curriculum delivered by highly-invested coaches, who are among some of the most skilled and empathetic teachers of the game in Virginia.
